uror Kellie Farina said the lone holdout in the Lindsay Clancy trial "had the hardest time getting off the fact that Lindsay viciously killed her children."

That is the complaint. After the mistrial, three female jurors sat down with NBC10 Boston and talked as if the murders were the problem in the room.

The cartoon has it right. Three raptors circling one man labeled Lone Juror. One says get over the killings. One says she was excited to rule Clancy insane. One says trust me, I'm a nurse.

Lindsay Clancy strangled Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and 8-month-old Callan with exercise bands in the basement of their Duxbury, Massachusetts home on January 24, 2023. She sent her husband out for takeout first. She admitted she did it. Each child still had a band around the neck when their father found them.

Foreperson Roni Carlson said the holdout admitted he had reasonable doubt. She started filling out the forms for not guilty by reason of insanity. She said she was "so excited." Then he stopped her. He would not say Clancy was insane.

Carlson said everything proved Clancy loved her children, so she "had to have snapped." Juror Paula Devlin called him "very arrogant" because he would not take the word of nurses on the jury.

Love does not unstrangle a five-year-old.

The killing was planned. It was orchestrated. It was physical and brutal. She chose the basement. She used three separate bands. She had to keep the pressure on each child's neck. She could have stopped. She did not.

Everyone who murders another human being is insane on some level. That does not erase the crime. There is no justifiable way to make hormones the cause of murder.

The law is supposed to apply to everyone. Cora, Dawson, and Callan cannot get over it. They are dead. The lone juror was the only person in that room who still treated that as the point.
